Direct Support Professionals (DSP)

We thoroughly investigate all our applicants for three Cs: compassion, competency, communication. We believe that the execution of these three qualities on a higher level of servicing is essential and beneficial to the integrity of the independent and achievement goals of our clients


We conduct criminal background checks (BCII/FBI) on all applicants; we conduct web checks on State of Ohio databases, drug tests, reference checks, and physical tests before assigning a new hire to a client. New staff are required to complete training and receive certificates on CPR and First Aide before being assigned to a client.


Our Drivers

We ensure that our drivers have valid drivers’ licenses and valid liability insurance. We print their driving records prepared by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles no earlier than 14 calendar days prior to the date of initial employment as a driver and at least once every three years thereafter. We implement State requirement by prohibiting a person having six or more points on his or her driving record from providing Non-Medical Transportation. Each driver is required to immediately notify us in writing if the driver accumulates six or more points on his or her driving record or his or her driver license is suspended or revoked. We ensure that each driver completes testing within 32 hours of a vehicle accident involving the driver while providing NMT for controlled substances by a laboratory certified for such testing.
